From a very young age, Kate has always had a fascination with jewellery. The more detailed and intricate a piece, the more she feels drawn to it. Kate started her apprenticeship in Melbourne in 1997 and has never looked back. Kate received a gold medal in the jewellery category of the Victorian Worldskills Championships in 2002 and went on to place second in the national competition. She has also completed her Diploma in Practical Diamond Grading at the Gemmological Association of Australia.
Kate joined the Larsen team in 2019, working as a bench jeweller in our Melbourne studio. Three years later, she moved to Sydney to manage our Sydney studio and team. In 2020, Kate took on the role of operations manager and is now heavily involved in the development and direction of Larsen Jewellery. From training new staff to designing our beautiful ready-to-wear collection, Kate is always keen to share her passion and knowledge in any capacity she can.
