Rod is a qualified jeweller with 35 years of experience in the industry. Rod first started in the jewellery trade in Melbourne at the age of 17, learning to make opal jewellery. He is still very fond of this beautiful gemstone but has since also developed a love for working with rubies and diamonds too.
Rod has completed a course in diamond grading, making him one of Larsen’s valued in house diamond experts.
Rod’s favourite piece of jewellery is his wedding ring, made from an old antique wedding band of 16ct rose gold. He has a keen interest in searching for gold in its raw form and it’s this love of that natural raw form that he chose to have reflected into his wedding ring, which is finished with a natural gold nugget appearance.
